Districts affected by low water pressure and outages

March 2nd, 2022

Residents in some of the most densely populated parishes are at this hour experiencing low water pressure or outages.

Some St. Michael, St. George, Christ Church and St. Philip districts will be affected.

This as the Barbados Water Authority is conducting emergency repairs, replacing a pump at a pumping station in St. George.

The work started around nine this morning and should be completed around two in the afternoon.

A number of St. Michael communities will be affected including Haggatt Hall, Belle Gully and Belle Tenantry, Licorish Village, My Lords Hill, Flint Hall, Welches, Government Hill, The Pine, Pine Gardens and Pine Plantation Road, Upper Collymore Rock, Two Mile Hill, Brittons Hill and surrounding areas.

In St. George, Lower Brighton, First Step, Waverley Cot, Walkers, Constant, Windsor Tenantry, South District, Dash Valley, Salters, Campaign Castle and Boarded Hall.

Also Bannantyne, Edey Viilage, Cox road, St. David’s, Lower Greys, Frere Pilgrim and surrounding areas in Christ Church.

In St. Philip, Brereton and surrounding districts may be affected by this work.

Meanwhile the authority’s tanker service will be working to ensure that residents can get enough water during this period.

The BWA apologies for the inconvenience caused.
