A local drug treatment facility wants greater attention placed on adolescents amid concerns a large majority of addicts have experimented with drugs in their teens.
The call has come from Chief Executive Officer of Verdun and Marina House Marietta Carrington.
She says the matter is one of concern, given adolescence is a pivotal period in the development of an individual.
‘Strengthening Prevention’ is the theme for Drug Awareness Month being observed this month.
