The Modern High School Old Scholars Association isn’t relenting in its quest to have the late educator, Louis Lynch named a national hero.
There have been numerous attempts and calls for the honour to be bestowed on Lynch for his contribution to the development of Barbados.
Immediate Past President of the Association, Cheryl Croney-Sealy believes the honour is fitting for Mr. Lynch.
A week of activities is planned to mark the anniversary of the death of Louis Lynch, starting Sunday with a church service followed by a wreath laying.
Other activities include the customary Louis Lynch Lecture, a games night and a barbeque/fish fry and karaoke fundraiser.
Member of the Executive, Dr. Chelston Brathwaite has described the defunct Modern High School as an instrument of social transformation.
