The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture’s Barbados delegation has been working with the Ministry of Agriculture to step up papaya production.
The papaya, or pawpaw as Barbadians call them, has been plagued by bunchy top disease and representative Allister Glean told CBC News what they have been doing to help.
He added that they are also working with other international agencies to help resolve other issues which local farmers are facing.
