Increasing the number of on-call staff in the Accident and Emergency Department will go a long way in reducing the wait times patients endure.
Making the point was Head of the A&E Department Dr. Anne-Marie Cruickshank.
She says requests have been made for additional manpower in a number of areas and suggested this would be a major step in the move towards a fully operational 24-hour hospital.
