Former Government Minister and MP, Rudolph ‘Cappy’ Greenidge does not have a problem with the pensionable age for Parliamentarians being increased.
He weighed in on the matter at last evening’s Parliamentary Reform Commission meeting at the Princess Margaret School.
Mr. Greenidge says it should not be made into a political topic as the age rule was in place since 1969 under the leadership of former Prime Minister, the Right Excellent Errol Barrow.
Greenidge also dismissed the notion that MPs reap many benefits from serving.
