Barbadians attending the Freddie Miller Polyclinic in St. George now have access to some state-of-the-art equipment which should make their visit to the primary health care clinic more hospitable.
This comes through a worthwhile donation of some medical supplies and equipment worth around 39 thousand dollars from the family of the late Freddie Miller.
This donation included a medical bed, a baby scale and an ultrasound machine among a number of other things.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony at the St. George clinic accompanied by her brother Luther Miller, Dame Billie Miller daughter of Freddie Miller addressed the moderate crowd on hand telling them this was just part of the proceeds as some additional equipment was also to arrive shortly.
She says the Miller family was proud to support the polyclinic which had in many cases lacked critical equipment.
Brother Luther Miller stressed that the Miller family was glad to help and has pledged to continue supporting the institution once there is a need.
