Fresh consideration is being given to introducing overpasses to ease traffic congestion on the island’s roads.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley broke the news as she heard the concerns of residents gathered for St. Thomas Speaks.
Included in those concerns was traffic backups in areas such as Warrens.
The idea of overpasses for Barbados was first conceptualised under the Barbados Labour Party Owen Arthur administration, but scrapped by the successive Democratic Labour Party government led at that time by the late Prime Minister, David Thompson.
Ms. Mottley went on to explain its not an issue which can be fixed overnight, as she awaits the submission of a traffic study.
