Leader of Government Business in the Senate, Senator Lisa Cummins Is setting the record straight about the disbursement of money from the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) to the stalled Four Seasons Project.

Speaking during the debate on the National Insurance and Social Security Amendment Bill in the Upper House yesterday, she said questions had been raised about the matter in recent weeks since the Bill came up for debate. 

She revealed that while a 60 million dollar loan from the NIS to Four Seasons was approved under a previous administration, only a portion of that was actually disbursed.

Senator Cummins also commented on calls for a publication of businesses which owed the Scheme (NIS) money. She acknowledged that the Government was not exempt from this.
