While Barbados’ National Insurance contribution rate is high compared with its Caribbean neighbours, the benefits from the fund are some of the most generous in the region and beyond.
That point was made by Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight as she contributed to Debate on the National Insurance and Social Security (Amendment) Bill 2023 in the Upper House.
