As staff at the UWI got ready to enter day three of strike action some good news has been given to them regarding their pay.
General Secretary of the Barbados Workers Union Toni Moore says that since yesterday a lot transpired and it was communicated to them that the UWI Cave Hill Campus had funds for the retroactive increases.
The workers have therefore gone back to work.
Ms. Moore says she was contacted by the UWI and they settled on conditions regarding the lump sum payment.
