All the usual Covid-19 protocols will be in place today as thousands of children write the Barbados Secondary School Entrance Examinations (BSSEE) at secondary schools across the island today.
Deputy Chief Education Officer, Joy Adamson said all is set for the test in terms of the health and safety protocols.
Three thousand three hundred students, broken down into 1,145 boys and 1,755 girls, are registered to write the test.
Among them will be 18 early sitters, that is students who are under 10 years.
169 students have asked for a deferral, while 131 have requested special consideration, including more time, large print, special breaks and other exemptions.
