While the last two years have been challenging for the local hospitality industry, the Hilton Barbados Resort has continued to hold its own in the industry.
That’s according to Chairman of Needham’s Point Holdings Limited, Junior Walrond, who made the remarks.
He addressed a ceremony to re-launch two of its signature dining outlets, The Grille Restaurant and the Careenage Rum Stop, which both feature Bajan-inspired menus.
The launch was also held to officially unveil an art project in partnership with local artists, Sadé Payne, and Neville Legall.
Acknowledging the Hilton exists in an industry where competition is ever present, he says there are plans to refresh many of the public areas of the hotel including the conference facilities.
In her address, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Officer with Responsibility for Culture, Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight says the Hilton plays an important role in introducing and sharing various aspects of the island’s culture with visitors.
