History has been created at the Derrick Smith School and Vocational Centre as three students have successfully completed practical assessments for Caribbean Vocational Qualifications or CVQs.
It’s the first time students there have completed the examination and the team at the Jackmans, St. Michael institution, which caters to a range of special needs students, is overjoyed at the accomplishment.
One of the candidates is Rasonte Parsons, a quadruple amputee, who has been excelling in the kitchen.
Our Reanne Phillips visited the institution and filed this report.
