The link between the Caribbean and Africa is expected to be significantly strengthened through an historic event being held right here in Barbados.
It’s the first AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum which officially got underway on Thursday at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
It has brought together government officials and business people from both regions for the purpose of boosting trade and investment for their shared benefit.
The conference officially opened with an address by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley.
