Increase in hybrid vehicle sales

Sales of hybrids have been increasing and are almost on par with that of gas-powered vehicles, at one of the island’s leading car dealerships.

Director of Sales at NASSCO Limited Roger Moore says this changing dynamic is in keeping with Barbados’ efforts to transition to clean energy and achieve net zero by the year 2035.

He made the comment while talking to the business report about the new Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid available from the company.

Mr. Moore says the duty-free concession introduced by Government for the purchase of vehicles powered by renewable energy, is helping to fuel their sales.
