Independence pride is alive and well as many locals are buying up Barbadian-themed souvenirs, decorations, clothing and accessories.
Some store owners and supervisors in Bridgetown are telling CBC News they are sold out of certain items because of the high demand.
One such store is S.Y. Adam & Son.
Abed’s anticipated the demand and stocked up on fabrics and decorative accessories.
There is a lot of variety on offer, from T-shirts to fabrics to umbrellas to other types of memorabilia to mark the island’s 56th year of independence being celebrated on November 30.
Even the streets are decorated.
