Jade Harewood is the winner of this year’s BTMI Junior Chef Cook-Off Competition.
The 20-year-old walked away with the top prize last night after four and a half hours in a staged kitchen at Kensington Oval.
Competitors were required to prepare an appetizer, entree and dessert in that time, using items from their mystery basket.
Harewood’s prizes include a cheque for three thousand dollars, a scholarship to the Caribbean Cuisine Culinary Institute plus an internship at The Crane Resort.
2nd place went to Dajon Toppin, while Raphael Blenman and Dominique Grant finished 3rd and 4th.
Chef Peter Edey said it had been an intense 12 weeks helping them prepare.
