A new local group is on a mission to protect and enhance natural landscapes and watersheds in Barbados.
The body, The Land Conservancy Barbados was officially launched at the Carib Beach Bar in Worthing.
Board Member and Executive Director Lani Edghill says the group, in the works for the last decade, will be seeking to form partnerships with the Government and the public to address concerns at the Graeme Hall Swamp, Long Pond, Chancery Lane and other wetlands across the island.
