A new lease on life for a property located within Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison.
The Government has moved to provide some 836.5 square metres of land through a lease agreement to the Autism Association of Barbados for its Basic Life Skills Programme.
The site which housed the annexe for the Caribbean Examinations Council has not been in use for a number of years.
Senior Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Honourable William Duguid says a proposal was made by the Autism Association back in 2021.
During a debate on a resolution in the Lower House, he saluted the work of such charitable organisations noting he has seen the benefits of their programmes.
He says the Basic Life Skills Programme improves lives.
