Barbados is much closer to having legislation to protect the rights of people with disabilities.
According to People Empowerment Minister, Kirk Humphrey, the policy should be in the House in the coming weeks.
Minister Humphrey was speaking at a reception for special needs students who wrote this year’s Common Entrance Examination.
While lauding the students who are preparing to embark on the next level of their educational journey, he promised to make the event an annual affair.
