Alcohol consumption remains a concern for officials at the National Council on Substance Abuse, NCSA.
And NCSA’s Deputy Manager, Troy Wickham is urging parents to be more careful of the habits they glamorise in front of their children.
He was speaking at the Dance4Life big event, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandifrod Centre today, where they were one of the entities allowing students to see first-hand the effects of drugs and alcohol through simulation.
Mr. Wickham says the last research NCSA conducted in 2013 shows a high number of young people engage in substance abuse, and are usually introduced to it at home, by a family member, at an early age.
