The Barbados film industry is making waves internationally and the international community also want to be a part of the local industry.
This year marks the eighth instalment of the festival with entries from around the globe.
Board member of the Barbados Independent Film Festival Saana Allsopp who was a guest on CBC TV8’s Morning Barbados, says the great British documentary is one of the must-sees of the six-day festival which opens today.
The festival is one aspect of the film industry but what of its development and scope as a major player in the orange economy?
Well, we are joined live by the festival Director De Carla Applewhaite who tells us of the developments and concerns of those in the local film space.
