Beach users are being asked to exercise extreme caution as a low-pressure area is expected to affect the island tomorrow.
The low-pressure area is centred in the far north Atlantic and is predicted to produce large northerly swells propagating southward into the eastern Caribbean waters.
The Barbados Meteorological Services says these northerly swells are expected to have a greater impact on the western coastlines generating choppy sea conditions.
Key Messages:
– If venturing into the water, ensure there is an on-duty lifeguard.
– Surf activity may be greater during high tide.
– Small craft operators are advised to exercise caution.
