A man has died in Thornbury Hill, Christ Church after a vehicle under which he was lying collapsed on his body.
Police PRO Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss says it was around 2:00 p.m. when police at the Oistins Station received a telephone report of the incident.
The man was reportedly carrying out repairs on the motor van when it fell on him.
On responding, Police saw the man lying in front of the van.
A medical doctor pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigations are at an early stage and the identity of the man is being withheld at present pending notification of his family.
