Man shot in the head

The Barbados Police Service is investigating a shooting incident which left a 22-year-old man nursing injuries on Saturday, August 19, 2023.

Police said that the man “was reported to have received a gunshot injury to his head, in the area above his right eye, whilst riding his bicycle along 1st Avenue Taylor’s Gap, Hindsbury Road, St. Michael” around 8:55 p.m. last evening.

The Service also noted that when they responded, “it was discovered that this victim had already been transported to hospital by a private vehicle.

“Medical personnel listed him as serious and unstable at the time. Investigations are continuing.”
