Marijuana continues to be the drug of choice for substance abusers in Barbados and males continue to outnumber females at treatment facilities.
Those under the age of 40 however are of concern for authorities.
These were some of the key findings of the 2019 BARDIN report, released virtually on Wednesday.
Research Assistant at the National Council on Substance Abuse Laura Foster has been analysing the trends.
In offering recommendations based on the findings, the NCSA’s Research and Information Officer, Dr. Jonathan Yearwood, suggests more collaboration is needed among practitioners involved in the anti-drug fight.
