Minister of Home Affairs and Information Wilfred Abrahams, has addressed concerns about amendments to the Utilities Regulation Bill.
He acknowledged that some are worried the amendments give the Minister the authority to bypass certain sections of legislation.
But Mr. Abrahams notes the current legislation contains a similar provision, which has not been abused.
