Strong defence of government programmes for at-risk youth.
Minister of State in the Office of the Attorney General with Responsibility for Crime Prevention, Corey Lane says he’s not spending taxpayers’ money recklessly by introducing the programmes.
He says he is investing in the future.
Mr. Lane was addressing last evening’s Barbados Labour Party’s St. Michael East Branch meeting.
He says youth are bored and full of energy, suggesting this may be behind those tormenting society.
He believes a change in mindset is required to address the social ills.
