As Barbados moves to develop the decommissioned Glendairy Prison site, a Government Senator says the country needs more tourist attractions.
Senator Rudy Grant, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, says the visitor experience must be enhanced and visitors and locals should have more options.
He was speaking during Debate in the Upper House on a Resolution to vest the Glendairy Prison property in the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. for tourism development.
Senator Grant weighed in on matters including serious crime and harassment – a concern for tourists and hoteliers.
