Mottley shares Bridgetown Agenda at COP27

November 9, 2022

Determined to promote The Bridgetown Agenda to the widest possible audience, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley shared the message with the youth attending the ongoing 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, better known as COP27.

The Bridgetown Agenda calls for the reform of the global financial system, and Ms. Mottley told the young people she does not want it to be an historic relic or just a reference  document.

She was continuing her engagement at the summit, interacting with young people as she visited the COP27 Children and Youth Pavilion, the first dedicated space for young people to participate in the COP process.

She told them the most important thing they can do is read and become knowledgeable about the climate crisis.

The COP27 Children and Youth Pavilion opened with a diverse panel of young advocates, indigenous youth representatives, as well as the COP27 Youth Envoy Dr. Omnia El Omrani.

Prime Minister Mottley says the input of youth is needed to help stabalise the world.
