Close to five million dollars will be spent on one of Barbados’ popular attractions to transform it into a fan zone for Cricket World Cup.
Head of the National Organising Committee Noel Lynch says Oistins has become a centre of entertainment for both locals and visitors.
It has been identified as one of three fan zones on island, where people will be able to gather to watch World Cup matches.
Mr. Lynch says the aim is to upgrade and uplift the area to a much higher standard.
The other fan zones will be located at Pelican Village in the City and Hayman’s Market in St. Peter.
