Tourism officials are planning to host a music festival in Barbados next year.
The revelation from Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Ian Gooding-Edghill.
He says while Crop Over is one of the country’s biggest attractions for the summer, officials have been working to add other signature events to the annual calendar in a bid to position the island as a year-round destination.
Mr. Gooding-Edghill was addressing a welcome reception for media personnel and influencers from the island’s key source markets who are in for the Crop Over Festival.
The group of 50 individuals was invited from the US, Latin America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Caribbean to help promote destination Barbados.
