Seventeen creative businesses are to benefit from the experience gained in the National Cultural Foundation’s business development programmes.

They are participating in the Barbados Manufacturers’ Association’s Trade & Innovation EXPO (TIE) 2023.

The 17 businesses will occupy a space called “The NCF Pavilion”.

Senior Business Development Officer at the NCF Andre Hoyte says TIE, formerly known as BMEX, started yesterday and continues at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium until tomorrow.

Mr. Hoyte says the occasion is essential to the development of the 17 businesses in Barbados.

For the past four years, the NCF’s Business Development Department, headed by Hoyte, has been helping participating businesses as they go to market.

Overall, he’s pleased with the work of the department and has reiterated the Foundation’s intention to intensify its support of these and other creative businesses through the creation of additional opportunities through the Orange Economy hub.

Mr. Hoyte also revealed that as a part of the Accelerate to Market programme, a number of international buyers are expected to be present at a showcase to be held at the Barbados Hilton Hotel, on November 4th and 5th.
