New psychoactive substances a challenge to police, public health

Deputy Manager of the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA) Troy Wickham says the monitoring of new psychoactive substances (NPS) not only presents a challenge to law enforcement but public health.

Speaking at a press briefing this morning, he noted the distribution of the drugs have also attracted elements of criminal networks.
