The Ministry of Health’s Immunisation Unit is appealing to some factions of the public to refrain from starting untrue rumours.
Co-coordinator of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, Major David Clarke, says erroneous information is being circulated that nurses involved in the vaccination campaign have tested positive for COVID-19.
He says this is simply not true and asks that people stop sending out false messages.
Major Clarke adds that the nurses are well and are working diligently to ensure that the goals of the vaccination campaign are met.
