The real matters affecting youth in today’s digital era will be under the microscope over the coming days. This is being done as the Barbados Society of Psychology observes Psychology Week.
It got underway today with a service signalling its start at the Church of the Nazarene at Collymore Rock. Other activities planned include a forum for students teaching about psychology and its different fields, an educational session for its members and a social gathering. Psychology Week is being observed under the theme, “Mind Matters in the Digital Era: Youth, Community and Mental Health Online”.
President of the Society, Ronald Pope, says the public forum comes as youth struggle to cope with a range of issues. He stressed that mental health professionals have a passion for their work and that the profession is about caring as mental health matters.
