The Barbados Drug Service is tonight assuring Barbadians who take high blood pressure medication that the recalled Pfizer drug Accuretic is not being prescribed in the country.
Director of the Drug Service Dr. Myriam Hinds told CBC News that once they got word of the international recall they began investigations.
The recall is based on the possibility that the medication could increase the risk of cancer.
