At least one secondary school in Barbados is reporting success in its effort to get a handle on the issue of bullying among students.
It’s the St. George Secondary School.
This comes after the Supreme Counselling and Personal Development Agency undertook an extensive anti-bullying programme at the school.
Speaking before a packed auditorium at the school today Chief Executive Officer of Supreme Counselling Shawn Clarke stressed that their latest survey reflected a double digit reduction in bullying.
He made the remark this morning as they reintroduced an anti-bullying programme, as they look to target new students of the school
Mr. Clarke noted that it is his intention to see the numbers reduced even further.
He wants to see the discipline demonstrated at the school reflected across all schools as well as out in public.
