Former Commissioner of Police, Darwin Dottin, has been appointed Director of the Anti-Corruption and Anti-Terrorism Agency, with effect from Monday, December 12, 2022.
He was appointed by the President of Barbados, Her Excellency The Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason.
In a BGIS release, it was noted the appointment is for for three years.
Mr. Dottin says he acknowledges the confidence placed in him, and the responsibilities that go with the job. He notes that corruption, terrorism and related activities are regarded across nations, both developed and developing, as matters which affect national security and also facilitate the misuse of public resources.
The new Director says he looks forward to working with strategic partners in Barbados, regionally and to carry out the legislative aims of the Anti-Corruption and Anti-Terrorism Act.
