Scope for Africa-Caribbean partnerships

Barbados has told a forum of African leaders and business officials there is scope for Africa and the Caribbean to partner in a number of spheres.

Among the areas identified by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley are pharmaceutical development, tourism and particularly the cruise industry.

The Barbadian leader says countries have been taking too long to form bridges.

Ms. Mottley was among the panel for the 2023 African Investment Forum ongoing in Morocco.

While stating the journey between Africa and the Caribbean has been similar, Ms. Mottley says it will be difficult to raise the quality of life for citizens, if countries in both regions continue to fight the climate crisis.
