Security forces lauded for efforts in capture of escaped prisoner

Home Affairs Minister Wilfred Abrahams has thanked members of the Barbados Defence Force, the Police Service and the Prison Service for their quick action in the capture of escaped prisoner Tyreke Benskin.

The Minister also thanked the public for providing information on the escapee.

21-year-old Benskin escaped from the Dodds Prison in St. Philip around 3:45 this afternoon, and was later caught along Yorkshire Road, Christ Church.

Minister Abrahams says the public will be updated once more information becomes available.
