The deceased in last night’s fatal shooting in Lears, St. Michael has been formally identified.
He is 21 year old Reco Lamar Alkins of Hannah’s Valley, Christ Church.
Lawmen say Alkins had been in a dispute with a number of men and was shot in the process.
The report of the incident was made to the Police Operations Control Room around 6:52 last night.
An ambulance visited the scene, located along the roadway leading to the business area at Lears. However, on examination of the body, no sign of life was found.
Investigations are ongoing.
