The Government is working swiftly to address the need for additional parking in the Speightstown area.
However, it is hoped that members of the private sector can get on board with efforts to have a localised shuttle-type service established as well.
That is according to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Works and Water Resources, Santia Bradshaw, who has acknowledged that the issue of parking still has to be tackled in a more comprehensive way, following recent changes to the traffic flow in the northern town.
Meanwhile, one of the businessmen in the Speightstown area, Ian Griffith of Earl’s Funeral Home, is hopeful that discussions can take place to help solve the parking situation by involving property owners in Speightstown whose properties have not been in active use for some time.
