Sprucing up Brittons Hill Pavilion

The Brittons Hill Pavilion at Valerie, St. Michael is currently undergoing an upgrade and refurbishment as part of an overall project.

Workmen were busy making improvements to the building today, as part of a special Community Service Day activity, that also included a children’s soccerama and netball rally, which involved scores of young people, along with some more mature residents from the area.

Member of Parliament for St. Michael South Central, Minister Marsha Caddle, spoke about the significance of the upgrade for the pavilion, noting that it represents a much wider effort across the constituency.

The st. Michael South Central MP says the productive capacity of those who live in our communities must be supported. She was therefore thankful for the continued assistance of entities like Harris Paints and residents from the community of all ages who volunteered their time and labour.

Meanwhile, Minister Caddle says the Valerie Youth Football Club, which was formed over the past few months, has also been important for the community’s development.
