The news of the fare hike beginning tomorrow is more than welcomed for those plying their trade from the Grantley Adams International Airport in Christ Church.
Cameraman Anderson Arthur visited the airport today to get their reaction and most were ecstatic, but others had mixed feelings.
President of the Atlantic Taxi Co-operative Haskell Drakes is happy the wait is over for the members of his association.
Another association head Winston Padmore of Serenity Taxi also expressed happiness.
And with the rate information shared on the various boards the men set about organising their shift placements on the line to ensure that all the operators are allotted work fairly during this hectic winter tourist season.
