Christians flocked to various churches across the country throughout the day to hear religious leaders mark Good Friday with messages of faith, hope and love.

Good Friday is a religious holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and his death at Calvary.

At the Sharon Moravian Church, Reverend Ezra Parris during the sermon highlighted the sacrifices Jesus made, noting his work was not limited to any particular group. He added that Jesus died for all of humanity.

Reverend Parris urged Barbadians to revere God and pursue righteousness.

At St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rector Erma Ambrose encouraged Barbadians to remember Jesus was not alone on the day of his crucifixion.
