The travelling public is being advised to avoid the Belmont Road, St. Michael area.
This as the Barbados Water Authority is currently carrying out repairs to a 4-inch burst main on Belmont Road at its junction with Alkins Road.
In a release, the BWA says as crews carry out repairs, this section of Belmont Road may be impassable to motorists.
Vehicular traffic is being diverted through George Street and St. Hill Road as a temporary measure.
The BWA has apologised for the inconvenience and says it will update on the progress of this emergency work.
