Transport Board responds to claims of bus shortage

The Barbados Transport Board says there’s no truth to suggestions there’s an issue with availability of buses.

Democratic Labour Party leader Dr. Ronnie Yearwood recently suggested no progress has been made as it relates to buses, claiming there were only 65 on the road.

However, Chief Operations Officer of the Transport Board Lynda Holder says that could not be further from the truth.

According to her, the number of buses and the service from the Transport Board have significantly improved.

Ms. Holder adds it’s important to remember that prior to the electric buses being introduced in 2018, there were no new buses since 2006.
