Unnatural death in Salters, St. George

Police are on the scene of an unnatural death in Salters, St. George.

They say the deceased, a 46-year-old general worker, was reportedly working on the roof of a building under construction.

He was handling a long metal object which was being hoisted by a crane. The object came into contact with power lines, causing him to be electrocuted before he fell to the ground.

The man was assisted by others on the scene, before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

However, he died while receiving medical treatment.

The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m.

Investigations are ongoing.
